What happens when disaster strikes in a hospital? During a natural disaster and days following ICU's and CTU's are critical points of power management. Ventilators, life support systems, and incubators, are just a few of the medical technologies that can be affected during an emergency.
Our idea is a power inverter with replaceable batteries designed for medical equipment in ICU's and emergency areas. A two part energy delivery system that can add precious hours to a patient who is in need of specialized medical machinery or emergency first response. The first part is a compact cell( size of a 32 oz soft drink ) that has hours worth of energy. The second part is a rechargeable mechanism good for two refills. The battery can be refilled through a wall plug, a core replacement, or a solar flat panel ( a fabric like solar cell). Lastly, the fuel cell can be “jumped” using the current from an AED ( automatic electric defibrillator).
